Invest in Esbjerg has just attended the annual wind exhibition, WindEurope Electric City in Copenhagen, which was held on April 25-27.

An exhibition that brings together companies and stakeholders in offshore wind for a 3-day exhibition and conference with more than 15,000 visitors.

Together with Port Esbjerg, Invest in Esbjerg exhibited at the fair, which attracted a lot of attention. In addition to the many guests at the stand, we were also visited by our own mayor, Jesper Frost Rasmussen, who came by on the opening day to show his support to the industry and visit some of the companies from Esbjerg who also exhibited at the fair.

It seems that Esbjerg is considered the holy grail of offshore wind, of which we are proud of.

With visitors from India, Canada, Taiwan, Brazil, Norway and the USA, there was a lot of curiosity to know how we have succeeded in becoming a major offshore wind port.

Many ask about the secret ingredient and what you need to get a strong position in the offshore wind supply chain? Of course, it requires a lot of space in a port and the right infrastructure. But we must also attribute the success to the many companies in Esbjerg who work hard every day to deliver their equipment and services to OEMs and energy companies, and always make sure that the customers get what they need.
