Their solutions are typically used in new constructions or as retrofits for safety upgrades on existing structures. Several international energy companies, factories, and infrastructure projects have been equipped with Real Safety's versatile award-winning solutions.

Although Real Safety has a strong focus on international markets, Denmark remains a large and important market. Here they maintain a large warehouse of over 1,500 m² with production and development departments.

Their vision is to become the world's preferred partner for innovative, environmentally friendly, tailored solutions that reduce the risk of accidents occurring to people.

Real Safety's solutions are considered 'best practice'. The solutions include consulting related to inspection, production, product customization, and installation. They use modern technology such as "nudging," colors, and symbols in their solutions to optimize safety.

They have also won various awards for their technology. In Denmark, they won the Next Step Challenge in the Offshore category for the most innovative and cost-reducing safety product for the offshore industry. Internationally, they won the "Safety Technology" category at the Global Tank Storage Awards in March 2023.

Torben Farup, owner of Real Safety, attended the award ceremony and said: "I am so proud that our company has won yet another award for our safety solutions. We won based on a project we delivered at the end of 2022 for BPGIC at a tank facility in Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. It is a huge compliment to our employees and reflects our focus on safety and innovation for our customers – in Denmark and abroad."

Positive development

Real Safety has undergone significant development over the past year.

They have completed a total rebranding of Real Safety – and developed new websites in both Danish and English. They continue to have a strong focus on their digital strategy and have also invested in securing the right internal competencies.

Among other things, they have hired a new HSEQ manager and a new marketing manager to bring structure and strategic input to their plans.

Sales-wise, they have managed to open more doors in their core export markets and secured more supplier and partner agreements. They have broken through to several large international customers, where they see a tangible sales pipeline for several years ahead.

The future looks bright

Real Safety has a strong strategic 5-year plan in place and expects increased market shares within their two core areas.

Real Safety is also working on increasing in-house production. The advantage is primarily that they remove the external vulnerability they currently have towards manufacturers. Besides rising costs, they also increase control over flow and quality if they bring more production in-house.

They are also working on raising and retaining resource competencies in-house, focusing on developing their employees so they stand stronger and have the right tools to achieve success. Additionally, their technical competencies need to be enhanced. Therefore, they will hire a technical manager in the near future to raise and retain their technical know-how and brand, as well as develop new products.
