When people develop, organizations are lifted. This is the core idea behind Human Impact (HIT ApS) - an Esbjerg-based consultancy that helps companies create sustainable development through a focus on people, culture and psychological insight.
Behind the company stands Sofie Smidt Hansen, master’s degree holder and master in organizational psychology, certified coach and ISTDP therapist. With many years of experience from global corporations and local companies, she combines solid theoretical knowledge with deep understanding of the human mechanisms that drive – and sometimes hinder – development.
Human Impact develops tailor-made processes that strengthen trust, collaboration, well-being and psychological safety. The goal is to create clarity, ownership and action power at all levels – from management to employees.
One of the company’s specialties is Human Factors and safety culture. Here, insight into the brain, emotions and biases is combined with concrete tools that sharpen reflection and responsibility in everyday life. Inspired by Daniel Goleman’s research in emotional intelligence, Sofie shows how understanding human behavior can be translated into action and create a more mature, learning and robust safety culture.
Her presentations and workshops are based on action learning, where participants are actively involved through reflection, dialogue and practice-oriented exercises. Together with Maria Boulund Myrup from Marbou Consulting, Sofie facilitates development processes where knowledge about behavior, safety and collaboration becomes alive and applicable. Maria is also a regular partner within headhunting, outplacement and HR services.
Another core area is coaching with depth and breakthrough, where Sofie uses ISTDP (Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy) to help leaders and employees understand and work through unconscious patterns and barriers. The result is greater self-insight, courage and authenticity – and thus more present leadership and stronger teams.
Investment in people and culture pays off. With Human Impact, companies get a partner who combines psychological insight, practical experience and passion for creating healthy development and sustainable results.
Event on November 20
Come and join an inspiring presentation in Esbjerg on November 20, where business leaders and safety representatives gather to explore how insight into human factors, bias and neuroscience can strengthen the safety culture.
Inspired by Daniel Goleman’s research in emotional intelligence, Sofie Smidt Hansen and Maria Boulund Myrup from Human Impact convey how the brain’s autopilots, emotions and habits affect our decisions – and how awareness of these mechanisms can be translated into action in practice.
Participants gain insight into the group’s influence on the safety culture, how we sometimes turn a blind eye to dangerous situations instead of intervening, and why psychological safety is crucial for healthy actions and responsible behavior. Through reflection, dialogue and practice-oriented exercises, it is examined how small changes in behavior and leadership communication can create learning and responsibility in everyday life.
It will be two hours filled with energy, insight and inspiration on how knowledge about the brain and human behavior can become the key to a more conscious, learning and robust safety culture, where everyone takes responsibility for taking care of both themselves and each other.
