In Denmark, DEKRA is known as the country's largest transport school and a prominent provider of AMU courses to both the unemployed and employed. DEKRA has an international presence in more than 50 countries. DEKRA is a non-profit organization that reinvests its surplus in research, education, and development – for the benefit of society.
In January 2025, DEKRA expanded its commitment with a new branch in Esbjerg – a decision based on a desire to actively contribute to the development of business and the labor market in Southwest Jutland. The new branch will help meet the increasing demand for qualified labor in the transport and logistics industry, which is one of the pillars of Esbjerg's business structure.
Esbjerg is rapidly developing and plays a central role in the green transition, the offshore industry, and the transport sector. For this reason, DEKRA sees it as a natural and important task to be present locally and offer relevant and practice-oriented education that matches the needs of the area. DEKRA wishes to be an active partner for local businesses, job centers, and institutions – thereby contributing to growth, upskilling, and employment in the region.

At the AMU center in Esbjerg, DEKRA offers the most sought-after courses within transport and logistics:

- ADR courses targeted at drivers transporting hazardous goods.
Teaching is conducted with a focus on quality, high professionalism, and realistic instruction – and not least with respect for each individual participant's needs and learning style.
DEKRA's instructors have solid industry experience and work closely with both participants and companies to ensure that learning can quickly be translated into practice.
