In the offshore industry, your safety comes before everything.

When you are employed in the offshore industry, you enter a world where safety comes before everything else. And there is zero tolerance for compromising even the slightest on safety. Therefore, safety courses are mandatory before you can start your job at sea.

Offshore wind
GWO – Global Wind Organisation – basic safety course in the wind industry
The entire GWO package consists of five modules and takes 6-7 days. The course is valid for 2 years, after which a refresher course must be taken. The modules can be taken individually or as a package, and they are approved by all GWO members.
- Working at heights (16 hours)
- First Aid (16 hours)
- Manual Handling (4 hours)
- Fire Awareness (4 hours)
- Sea Survival (12 hours)

Health Certificate
It is also important that you possess a health certificate – in some cases it is also a requirement to participate in the courses. The certificate is issued by an approved doctor.
