Our big New Year's Reception is a recurring event where about 1,000 of our members and partners gather to wish a happy new year and celebrate the business community in Esbjerg.

The New Year's Reception is a recurring event for our members and partners.
It has more than 25 years of history and has become a strong tradition among our members, where we each year gather 1,000 members for what has become our largest networking event.
The program includes speeches, award ceremonies, and networking in inspiring surroundings in the concert hall and foyer of Musikhuset Esbjerg.
On the day, we annually present two awards:
- Business Esbjerg's Business Award is given to a person, group, company, or institution that has made an extraordinary effort to promote growth and development in Esbjerg and/or Fanø Municipality.
- New Business Name of the Year honors a leader, entrepreneur, or company with business potential beyond the ordinary. The award was established in 2020.
The New Year's Reception started in 1995 and has from the beginning been an event aimed at strengthening relations across the municipality's business community.
The New Year's Reception is held in the concert hall and beautiful foyer of Musikhuset Esbjerg on the 3rd Thursday in January each year.
Please note that in 2026 the New Year's Reception will be held on Friday, January 16.
