The most commonly used types of companies
There are countless different types of companies – especially when crossing national borders. The most common and most used in Denmark are:
- Sole proprietorship
- Partnership
- Private limited company
- Public limited company
- Entrepreneur company (which is no longer possible to establish).
Besides the general differences shown above, there are also different rules for VAT, the Danish Tax Agency, accounting requirements, registration, etc. Therefore, it is important that you thoroughly familiarize yourself with the different types of companies before you start your business and enter the world of entrepreneurship.
